This bangle is a part of a larger bridal jewellery set, launched in collaboration with Centre for Human Rights and Bridal Couture Week to advocate for a woman's marriage rights in the Nikahnama.
The intentionally placed kaante (thorns) on the inside of the bangle are reminiscent of the kaante (crosses) placed on the columns of a Nikahnama, that deprive a woman of her basic marriage rights.
Note: This piece is not wearable, and will be sold to you as a memento for your contributions to the campaign. All proceeds go towards supporting women and girls access to marriage rights in Pakistan.
